No, he took Beth by the hand to lead her out here instead. Because inside... that reality... well, it sucks right now and he doesn't want to be around it, and he's pretty damn sure Beth doesn't want to be around it either.
So they find a private spot near a tree and sit.
Spike's arm is around Beth. He's not letting go. Not at all. Not tonight. Maybe not even tomorrow or the next day or the next. He just looks up at the stars, grateful they're together.
The stars look nothing like home.
