Venusian Water
Jun. 12th, 2005 10:11 pmThere's something about the water on Venus that's just... really, really nice. More than the fact that it changes color: it feels like silk draping over your body, and every time you move it tugs at your skin but not in a bad way. In a really soothing way.
Spike pours a glass of champagne for Beth and hands it to her, then pours one for himself. He's got a lazy smile on his face and he knows it, but he makes no attempt to hide it. Out here on the balcony they can see a few stars peeking through the clouds and they're pretty damn vibrant, all blue and sparkling and twinkling, and he can't think of a place he'd rather be.
He looks over at Beth: she's leaning back against the pillowed headrest and looks just as content as he feels.
He loves her. Simple as that: he loves her.
"Promised you hot tub later." He toasts her with the Venusian champagne.
And can't help but smile.
