"Hey."
The windows are still open and the breeze blowing in is really, really nice, and the sun is shining and it's warm but not too hot, and he's just made fresh coffee and the room is quiet, and a bouquet of flowers got delivered to their door overnight, and Spike's about to order breakfast for them. He sits on the side of the bed next to Beth, one leg folded up there, the other dangling over the bed's edge.
"I got us a late checkout. 4:00."
He likes this place. He likes it a lot. Leaning over, he gives her a good morning kiss. "Wonder how long it would take to start taking this place for granted if we never had to leave?" Almost innocently, he traces her body over the sheet.
He's glad he never came here before: not the whole time he lived on Mars, not the whole time he and Jet were partners. More than anything, he's glad that he's here now with Beth, and only with Beth. No worries, no cares, no concerns: just the promise of a private day in paradise with his very own Eve.
