"Nice and easy: that's it. Good." He's talked her through the water landing; bringing in such a big craft could seem really daunting if it wasn't so automated. "Good thing Jet arranged for permission for us to land. I doubt they'd give it to a pair of lowlife scum bountyhunters like you and me." Spike kisses Beth on the top of the head, shouldering his backpack. He leans over the computer console and places the call.
"Hey, Jet. We're at G19. She's all yours."
Looking across the cabin, he winks at Beth. "The Bebop, that is."
On the other end of things, Jet runs a hand across his head. "Well, I hope so." But he laughs. "See you over there in a few."
Good. I like it when things come together. The two people he likes best in the whole damn universe are about to meet each other, and that's... well, it's fucking great.
"Hey, Marie Browning: got your passport? Your bags? Your gun?" He winks (blink blink refocus) at Beth, way too in love with her for anything else to matter. They're on Ganymede; they're about to go to Venus. Everything else will sort itself out.
"Ready?" He holds out his hand to her, thinking damn, you look good in my shirt.
