Now he's only half around her, because the decision to get in a position where he could give this kiss the attention it deserves didn't take very long to make. He spares the briefest glance in Beth Junior's direction -- just to make sure she's still sleeping soundly, which she is -- before he runs the pad of his thumb over Beth's lips.
It kind of sets the stage.
For a moment, he looks right into her eyes, and then the very corners of his lips curl; this smile's just for her. Then his lips find hers, and hell, if they feel like doing a little bit of exploring he's not going to stop them. Whoever said a kiss has to stop at the lips doesn't know what they're talking about.
