Oct. 22nd, 2004 11:33 am"Hey. Is it just my imagination or is this asteroid playing sunrise and sunset with us?" He swears there's early-morning light filtering into the room.
It reminds him of the morning sunlight on Mars when he was a kid. Filtered through the dome, filtered through the engineered atmosphere, but there nonetheless. "Beth. Did you know the length of a day on Mars is only a half-hour longer than a day on Earth?" Restless, he reaches for Ed's smiley-face notebook and a pen and jots down the thought.
Some days are like that for him: just a blast of energy. Maybe it's from not waking up with a hangover, or maybe it's just time for one of those days. Maybe it's just adjustment, or lack of adjustment, or any of those things and it doesn't matter. It's what it is. And that's always been his favorite rationalization.
"Beth. Did I wake you up?"
