Looking up at stars that don't match constellations is almost funnier, though. He's traveled throughout the galaxy and there are always a few constellations you can recognize. Always.
But not here.
No Orion and his belt, dog at his heel. No Queen Cassiopeia with her crown, no Pleiades. No set of bears, no Southern Cross, none of that shit. The constellations here are frauds; they're made up. Someone made them up.
There's one star nature created, though, that no one could outdo. No one could best.
Spike looks over at Beth. She's radiant and she glows brighter than any star. Any other star, he should say.
No other star caresses like a soft breeze and sings like an angel and smells like honeysuckle.
